WHAT IS A PRE-MARRIAGE COURSE?

The pre-marriage course is a series of eleven sessions aimed at helping dating partners or engaged couples to invest correctly, and build right and strong foundations for their relationships.

Mercy Balogun, a marriage counsellor and the author of the relationship book, ‘Fall in love with his vision, not his wallet’ developed the pre-marriage course to help intending couples invest rightly in their relationship to build a sustainable and lasting marriage.

Over six sessions, the course will help you to learn the fundamentals in marriage, good communication, understand the place of preparation and commitment in marriage, self-discovery, In-law roles in relationship and managing differences and conflicts.

THE TARGET AUDIENCE

The pre-marriage course is for engaged couples and intending partners who are exploring the idea of getting married rightly, who wants to give their marriage the best start and the best all way round.

The course is built on biblical principles but designed for all intending couples with or without a church background.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

In the pre-marriage course, you and your partner are hosted by the marriage counsellor. Each partners discussions are completely private as they go through each session of the course. Prior to the start of the course or during the first few sessions, you may be sent a couple survey through email. This is a questionnaire and not a compatibility test.
